The tour begins with the Ananuri Castle. Fortifications and towers enclose two churches that are interesting in terms of their ornamental carvings and colorful frescoes. The monument belongs to 17th century and from here you can see the gorge of the Aragvi River with spectacular views.
On the way, we stop at Cross Pass, with unique mineral waters coming out of the earth. The orange sinter cascade will definitely tempt you!
Then we hike to Gergeti Trinity Church - small but very sacred monument of the 14th century, situated charmingly on the background of Mount Kazbeg. The Mount, often called Mkinvartsveri, is one of the biggest in the Caucasus.
From here, we walk down to Sno Valley that is full of stone sculptures. You'll feel like you are in a museum!
After visiting the valley, we head for the Village Jutta that is the starting point for hikers and climbers as it is leading you to Chaukhi Mountains.
