The first stop is at Ananuri Castle, on the Aragvi River. This 17th century monument consists of two churches that are wrapped within the fortification and towers. The facades, furnished with ornamental carvings, and the beautiful frescoed walls will certainly attract your attention.
On the way to Kazbegi, there is a stop at the Cross Pass that is famous for its mineral springs that are gush out of earth, offering wholesome refreshment.
After arriving to Kazbegi, you hike to Gergeti Trinity Church. This 14th century small church towers above at an altitude of 2100 metres. Forming an imposing backdrop is Mount Kazbeg, the third highest mountains in Georgia, offering an incredible view.
