Place of event: Tbilisi, Rustaveli Avenue
Georgia's Independence Day is a holiday of great importance for Georgia. The day begins with a parade and ends up with concerts, laser-shows and fireworks. During the parade military troops, tanks and military cars pass by the Parliament building and helicopters cross the sky with colourful steams tailing after them. The Rustaveli Avenue is full of people with flags in their hands, striving to see at least one popular and well-known figure among many ministers, mayors and ambassadors, as many high-ranking officials from different countries visit Tbilisi this day.
In the evening unforgettable concerts are held. While Georgian singers and dancers perform traditional and modern Georgian songs and dances, elaborate figures are drawn on the Parliament building using colourful laser rays and fireworks are launched that contribute to the hilarious mood of the spectators.
